Former Florida point guard Scottie Wilbekin will get an opportunity to impress NBA two teams during summer league play.
Wilbekin’s agent, Matt Ramker, announced on his Twitter account that Wilbekin has accepted invitations to play with the Memphis Grizzlies in the Orlando summer league in early July and the Philadelphia 76ers in the Las Vegas summer league in mid-July.
Wilbekin earned Southeastern Conference player of the year honors, fueling the Gators to a 36-3 record and their fifth Final Four appearance in school history. The 6-foot-2 guard from Gainesville averaged 13.1 points and 3.6 assists as a senior.
Wilbekin, Florida center Patric Young and Florida forward Casey Prather all went unpicked in Thursday night’s NBA draft.
