Two Florida Gators Arrested in Drug Sting

Two Florida Gators, a basketball player and a football player have been arrested on drug charges.

Authorities arrested Brandon James and Brandon Powell during an undercover drug sting Monday night.

Both face charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis.

James is a sophomore running back for the national champion Florida Gators football team. He starred at St. Augustine High School.

In the 2006 season, James played as the primary punt and kick returner for the Gators as a true freshman.

Powell is a sophomore guard from Memphis for the back-to-back national champion Florida Gators basketball team.

Both players have been suspended indefinately.
