Tebow picked as the SEC offensive player of the year by AP

The SEC coaches and the writers who cover the conference don't agree on the league's top offensive player.

The coaches say it's Arkansas tailback Darren McFadden.

The writers say it's Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.

Only a few hours after the SEC, in a vote by the coaches, named McFadden its offensive player of the year, Tebow received the same honor from AP in a vote of the writers who cover the conference.

Here's one thing the coaches and writers do agree on: LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey is the SEC defensive player of the year.

In the AP's All-SEC team that was released Wednesday, Tebow was the unanimous choice as the first-team quarterback and offensive player of the year. The only other Gators to make the first team were sophomore wide receiver Percy Harvin and middle linebacker Brandon Spikes. Harvin was named to the first team as an all-purpose player and made the second team as a wide receiver.

The other UF player on the second team was return specialist Brandon James. Junior defensive end Derrick Harvey made the team as an honorable mention.

Well now aint this obvious, Tim is alot better player than darren mcfadden, matter fact I think darrens year was a joke period. pfffffff, yeah ok.

I do think that McFadden will be great in the NFL, but there is no way he was a better offensive player than Tebow this year. Those jackasses that comment that Tebow had 3 losses I guess are overlooking the 4 losses McFadden had. Plus, there were games where he was not much of a factor.
