Meyer defended one of his players against some rabble rousing sports beat writer from Orlando when the guy tried to turn and twist what Deonte said into something it wasn't. As far as I'm concerned, he defended one of his players because he has a lot of pride in the program he's built and loyalty to the young men he's brought in here.
I could care less if some journalists are whining and crying about one of their getting his ass chewed out by Meyer, especially considering how many of them have incessantly taken their shots and printed their "shock stories" about UF since he's been here.
They've dished it out for years and now they can't take some back?
If this situation happens again, Meyer should tell the whatever shock journalist off again. Meyer set a precedent with these guys that I believe he needed to set. I have no problem with it.
'Nuff said. Three or four weeks from now this will basically be a non-issue anyway.
