Never forget the Americans who gave their lives in military service to this nation. Lest we forget the following Florida Gators who have died in combat or on active duty:
    1. Walter "Tiger" Mayberry. Gator Great, Marine Corps ace, died in POW camp in New Guinea. March 14, 1915 – March 5, 1944.
    2. Bill Corry. Medal of Honor, namesake of Naval Station Corry in Pensacola. October 5, 1889 – October 6, 1920. Died rescuing fellow passengers after aircraft crashed. Earned Medal of Honor for saving multiple lives in the Hartford, Connecticut crash.
    3. Hubert Schucht. Former student body president. Killed in action August 23, 1944, Normandy, France.
    4. William Taylor. Died August 17, 1966. Pleiku, Vietnam. Distinguished Device Cross.
    5. Harold Rowe
    6. Buck Schindler
    7. Elmer Ricau
