I'm more'n half expecting a "woulda shoulda coulda" result for our reptiles now, I'm afraid. And it just aches already to say and begin to prepare for that emotionally.
I mean, lets face it: Appleby was a turnover-machine in The Big 10...but what can we do? Not as if starting one of our freshman qbs is an obviously "better move" at this juncture--for a lotta reasons.
Gotta just hope that his reported growth as a player AND a young man is real, and that he takes another step in that process here. 'Course, that'd feel more likely, we'd ALL be a whole lot more optimistic if we didn't have last season's "lose Grier and abandon all hope" sequence of results so fresh in our minds from LAST year now.
