The Florida Gators men's basketball team is ranked No. 9 in the AP's Preseason Poll. For a team that bounced out of the first round of the tournament that's pretty good. I guess we can attribute it to bringing back all five starters: Walker, Parsons, Tyus, Macklin and Boynton. The Gators are a year older and are poised to make a move deep into the tournament this year.

The Gators also have a strong shot at winning the SEC. Kentucky lost their entire team to the NBA Draft. The Wildcats do have some great recruits but they lack experience. The Gators have a lot of size and solid shooting on the outside... not many teams in the SEC will be able to match up with them.
