The Super Bowl has passed, the ads were aired. Football is over, and the withdrawal symptoms are starting to appear...

Who dat say gonna beat dem Saints? Definitely not the Colts. Drew Brees and the Saints beat Manning’s Colts 31-17 last night in Miami. Brees (32/39 288 yds 2tds) was absolutely clutch with his record-tying 32 completions with a passer rating of 114.5, grabbing the game’s MVP award.(The record ties Tom Brady in Super Bowl XXXVIII against the Carolina Panthers). Sean Payton’s decision to onside kick at the start of the 3rd quarter caught the Colts by surprise and took the wind out of Peyton Manning and the Colts’ sails for the time being, as the Saints marched down the field to take a 13-10 lead on a 16 yard pass to Pierre Thomas. The Colts would score again to take the lead, but the rest of the game would be all Saints. Tracy Porter’s 74 yard interception return for a touchdown of a Peyton Manning pass with 3:42 left in the game would seal the deal. The Saints’ win marks the franchise’s first Super Bowl win in their first appearance. The Saints are AINTS no more.

As we all know Tim Tebow appeared in two ads featuring him and his mother on Super Bowl Sunday. One during the pre-game show and one during the game’s first quarter. After all of the controversy concerning the ads message of anti-abortion, it was obvious that all of the outcries of unfairness and inappropriateness were wasted. Had the people complaining about the ad’s airing actually SEEN the commercial before they had opened their mouth, they would(or should) have said that there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the family-oriented advertisements. The commercial never even mentioned the word abortion. It didn’t even discuss Pam Tebow’s options, or terminating a pregnancy at all. It simply featured a website to which the viewers could visit to read about Pam and Tim Tebow’s story. Seeing the love that Tim and his mother share, made me want to hug my own mom. And the second commercial where Tim appears to tackle Pam to symbolize their toughness was actually funny. Pam, at the end of the ad, says that she still worries about Tim because he isn’t nearly as tough as her. Very funny as well. Now we’ll hear people complaining about a message of violence against women. Do these people ever stop?

The countdown to the Orange & Blue debut can officially begin. The consensus #1 class of 2010 is all set, Urban Meyer is officially on his LOA, and Steve Addazio has taken the reins until Meyers return for spring practice. I don’t know about you guys but I can’t wait to see this beast of a defensive line pin its ears back, and John Brantley to start raining passes on the SEC. Maybe we can win some more games, and get a 13 year old commitment of our own!(hahaha Lame Kitten you are hilarious)Also, USC hanging on to Seantrel Henderson will be unlikely after the probation they receive. So, I’m looking for a UNANIMOUS #1 class for the Gators before the start of spring practice.

60 more days kids…
