Game Notes:
- Florida and Georgia Southern are meeting for the sixth time with UF holding a 3-2 lead in the series, although they’ve met only twice in the last 50 years, with the Gators winning in Gainesville in both 1998 and 2004
- Billy Donovan is 6-0 all-time against Georgia Southern, as in addition to his two wins at UF against the Eagles, he went 4-0 against them at Marshall when both teams were in the Southern Conference
- Florida is playing in Jacksonville for the fourth time in the last five years - the Gators played in the first sporting event in the building, defeating UCF in 2003, opened the 2004-05 season with a win over Jacksonville and then picked up two wins in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament en route to the 2006 national title
