Hornsby had choices in life, and he chose to take the wrong path. Then he goes to Ole Miss and runs afoul of the law again - this kid has serious issues. It's up to Houston Nutt to decide what he wants to do with him, but clearly this kid has a screwed-up perception of what's right and wrong. Perhaps he needs to do time to realize how serious society is about committing criminal acts - hey, he's an adult and needs to take responsibility for his actions. If jail is the reality check he needs, so be it.
Going forward, character is one area our coaching staff is looking at in a recruit; had they known that Hornsby was a potential troublemaker there's no way UF would have offered him a scholly.
