ESPN Gameday Comes To The O'Dome On Saturday

Gainesville, FL ESPN College Basketball Gameday will return to the O’Connell Center for the first time since 2006, and just the second time ever, for the University of Florida’s showdown with Kentucky on Saturday.

Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. General Public may enter through Gate 1, while the Rowdy Reptiles can enter through Gate 3.

Sportscenter will cut live to the O’Connell Center during its first segment of its 10 a.m. show. Following the live segment, fans at the O’Connell Center will then be treated to performances from the pep band and Dazzlers, as well as a number of fan-friendly contests before ESPN Gameday is broadcast from the building from 11 a.m.-noon.

After the conclusion of Gameday, fans will need to exit the building. Doors will reopen at 7 p.m. for Rowdy Reptiles and 7:30 p.m. for the general public. ESPN will broadcast a second show from 8-9 p.m. from the O’Connell Center, leading up to the tip of the Gators’ game with Kentucky at 9 p.m.

ESPN Gameday first came to the O’Connell Center on Feb. 4, 2006, leading up to the Gators’ 95-80 victory over Kentucky. It is the third straight year that ESPN has highlighted the Florida-Kentucky game, as Gameday was in attendance at Rupp Arena in Lexington last year for the Gators’ 64-61 win.
