The Florida Gators are on bye this week - thank goodness... it means we won't lose! The Gators are on a 3 game losing streak with Georgia coming up next week. We needed this time desperately to get the offense and defense healthy and back on track. A lot of talk around town has been what to do at the quarterback situation - should Meyer adjust the offense to suit Brantley's abilities or should Trey Burton get more playing time because he's a better 'spread quarterback'?

Whatever the coaches decide they better be right. I think the Gator nation will erupt if we lose to Georgia next week in Jacksonville. Good news is Chris Rainey will be back on offense and hopefully Jeff Demp's ankle will be healed. Without those two guys the offense has suffered.

At times, the defense doesn't seem like they are playing great but they did hold Mississippi State to only 10 points - it should have been enough for the win. Something we're missing this year from the previous years is points from turnovers. I seem to remember the Gators scoring a lot on defense in previous years.

What do you play to do during the bye weekend? Are you going to kick back and watch some other games? Maybe Kentucky v. Georgia or Tennessee v. Alabama?
