No—NOT “too soon”; not these days. And so far, he is DEFINITELY “one of those guys”, possibly even “the early FRONT-runner”.
But remember: Tebow won HIS the season BETWEEN our Natty-runs on the teams he was a major part of.
I won’t say it is “either/OR” (look at Burrows and LSU LAST season, after all), but it is more important to us, Trask and the whole TEAM to see our PROGRAM rise to full on success and national recognition than to simply see Kyle win a Heismann as some kind of morale-boosting consolation for NOT making it to the Final game, at LEAST. He’s good—but it is the ultimate rise of the Florida Gators to true annual national Championship contention that we all aim for—Trask included of course.
That game versus Arkansas and Franks is looking more “interesting” than ever. You think Fillipe will be “emotionally motivated” in that one? Possibly to the point that it could work against him: That young man was ALWAYS “wrapped a little tight”. But Kyle and our guys should take it in stride—I think they’ll wish him well—but intent on going out there and “TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS”!!!
Back to whether or not we can be the “complete team” we MUST eventually be if we are to compete with that handful of so-called “ELITE TEAMS” after all.
