The awards just keep piling up for Tim Tebow. Yesterday, he was named the recipient of the fifth annual Manning Award, which was created by Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning to recognize the top quarterback in college football. You may wonder why this award didn't go to Bradford... well, that's because it's the only award given out that takes thebowl games into consideration. What Tim did in the BCS Championship Game put him over the top.

Past winners of the award are Vince Young (Texas), Matt Leinart (Southern Cal), JaMarcus Russell (LSU) and Matt Ryan (Boston College).

In addition to the Manning Award, he was named the 2009 recipient of the Ben Hill Griffin Award.

The award, established by Gator Boosters, Inc., and the UAA, recognizes and honors the top male and female student-athletes who excel in both athletic and academic achievement and extra-curricular involvement. This is the second consecutive year Tebow was honored with the award.

Tebow boasts a 3.70 grade point average while working toward a degree in Family, Youth and Community Service. In his major classes, he holds a 3.81 GPA.I can't even begin to dive into all the extra-curricular activities he does.. From the mission trips, to public speaking to mentoring... the list goes on and on.

Congratulations Tim!
