Official Game Thread: Week 14: #8 Florida Gators vs FSU Seminoles 11/30/19

Yikes! REALLY? Envious of UCF? Now THAT is DEFINITELY a case of “rats deserting a sinking ship!!!”
Thinking I’m being too hard? Well, can YOU imagine ANY SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES under which you could imagine yourselves deserting loyalty to OUR GATORS for ANYONE, FIU, FAU, ANYONE (let alone some long-established rival, let alone even further some “UPSTART” who declares ITSELF “Champion”!, were THAT the alternative) in the state FOR ANY SET OF REASONS OR RESULTS???
Simply UNimaginable.
No way, no HOW!!!

Even for a Nole, that seems tweaky...
But they’ve always BEEN a bit “off”, let’s face it.
As for the rest, LOTTA “insight” there:
(1) I don’t DOUBT they envy our success with the arrival of Coach Dan; whole buncha programs were (and are, CONTINUE to BE) searching for that “special hire”—and we got it on the first try!: A perfect fit. Couldn’t have possibly hit it any more square.
(2) From the first moment I hit G-Ville way back in the day (for me, it was the 70s) it was MY “perfect fit”. Both as a school and a place to live, laugh, love and party, I never second-guessed my choice, never looked back. And those were STILL some of the BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE—no doubt about it!
(3) As for all the rest, YEP: fellow students IMMEDIATELY took me in hand, taught me the in-game traditions AND brought me into the rituals of mischievous counter-rival competition...
We had a nice mix of bars and restaurants, hangout-spots, etc...I’m sure they’ve kept up, adapted accordingly to the evolving world...
All in all, I must say that though I did not DESPISE Tallahassee on my 2 visits there outside of as a “Gator-Raider” in to raise hell with my fellow trouble-makers, as a homebase/college town it just did not COMPARE to our “G-Ville”!
