The main thing worth noting (besides the injury "(NON)Report" also posted here) regarding this one against UTM Skyhawks was how Filiepe Franks really stepped up as far as his calm poise and accuracy: He approaches his business that way game in/game out rest of the year, doesn't let pregame hype or the pressure of reputation and social media affect him as it has seemed to do in the past (he went 23 for 25, made all the throws long and short, with touch or power as required by the situation) and our QB will truly BE esconced as QB-1--and quite possibly, with nothing but wins (including what would by then be those against UK and UT to begin SEC play, he'd enter the Auburn game with his growing status being stacked up against that of Cox's, the currently much-publicized Auburn signal caller, as the "hot young new star on-the-rise" in the SEC.

• This is the Gators first shutout since 2016 (34 games ago) when the Gators beat North Texas 32-0.
• The Gators have started the last two seasons with 69 points through their first two games, with nine touchdowns being the most since 2015.
• Feleipe Franks’ 92.6% completion rate is the best single-game passing percentage for a Gators quarterback.
• Feleipe Franks ranks sixth nationally in completion percentage on the season.
• The Gators 312 yards passing is the second-highest under Dan Mullen at Florida (399 vs Idaho in 2018), and only the third time in the last four seasons.
• Jacob Copeland is the first Gators freshman since Freddie Swain (2016) to catch a touchdown.
• The Gators four rushing touchdowns in the first two games are the most since 2015, but their five passing touchdowns are two behind the pace from last season.
• The Gators 69.23% third-down conversion rate was their best since playing Kentucky in 2016.
• Kaiir Elam’s interception is the first freshman defensive back interception since CJ Henderson in 2017.
• The Gators 15 sacks to start the season are the most to start a season ever and have the Gators ranked number one in the country in the number of sacks and sack yardage.
• Evan McPherson is 20 of 22 in his career.
• The Gators rank 8th in the SEC in total offense and 2nd in the SEC in total defense.
• Florida remains at #17 on the Sagarin rankings with an expected win total of about 9 games.
• Another one of Dan Mullen's quarterbacks, Dak Prescott, just had a stellar day with a perfect NFL passer rating of 158.3.
