Merry Christmas, Gator Nation! May your holidays be filled with more holiday cheer than the football team had actual wins this year (congrats on that heroic 4-8 season—beating FSU to finish the year was the holiday miracle we all needed, even if it came after Billy Napier got the early pink slip and the offense spent most games practicing for the invisibility cloak world championships). At least the basketball squad is out here defending that national title glow-up like it's their full-time job! Todd Golden's crew is ranked, rolling, dropping 90 on Colgate like it's no big deal, and reminding everyone why Florida hoops is the gift that keeps on giving (while football politely asks for a receipt). Here's to eggnog, family, and hoping 2026 brings more basketball banners and fewer football "rebuilding years." Chomp on some holiday ham and stay swampy! Go Gators—and happy holidays!

(For me, Roundball can never quite balance (let alone ASSUAGE) this kind of decade-and-a-half-long slide by our “Long Time Coming, Long Time GONE” now Football program…but Golden & Co.’s. unexpected “reprise” indeed HAS helped to take some of the sting out of it all…
However, it’s time to turn it all around.
PAST time.
WELL past time.
You know what I’m saying.
Nuff said.
Merry merry, Happy happy and all that—but 2026 has GOT to be at minimum a clear “SIGN OF BIGTIME POSITIVE UPHEAVAL” sort of a year.
