As expected, the Florida Gators came out firing against the Citadel on Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful day in The Swamp and a lot of points were put on the board. The final score was 70-19. The Gators got off to an early lead heading into halftime ahead 49-6.

Tim Tebow had an early afternoon off but completed 9 of 11 passes for 201 yards and three TDs, that's a 325 QB rating! Because the Gators were up, and they were playing a lesser opponent, Urban Meyer opted to play the starters for just over 1 quarter. No need to run them out there and get hurt, plus this is a good game to see what the backups are capable of.

The Gators excelled in all facets of the game. On offense, running backs Chris Rainey and Emmanuel Moody each went over 100 yards on the ground. Percy Harvin had over a 100 yards of total offense in very limited action. All in all, 9 different players had rushing attempts and 9 different players had receptions. Everyone was involved in this game. On defense, the starters really stuck it to Citadel. Hill, Jenkins and Pierre-Louis all reeled in interceptions.

In light of Florida’s Senior Day celebration, several Gator seniors capitalized on the honor against the Bulldogs, as senior running back Kestahn Moore ran for two touchdowns and 50 yards in the first half. Redshirt senior Javier Estopinan ran for his first career touchdown, a one-yard rush, to get the Gators going in the second half.

The Gators are still ranked No. 4 in the BCS Standings, but still in prime position to take a top 2 spot after wins over FSU and Alabama.
