The Florida Gators have a few recruits that are doing well at The Opening, a combine for high school football players held in Beaverton, Oregon. Unless otherwise noted, these recruits are part of the recruit class of 2014 (for now). The last number is the SPARQ rating (Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness.) [Just for reference, Reggie Bush had a SPARQ rating of 93, Tim Tebow had a 97, and the record is 154.]

  • Will Grier -
    2014 QB 6-2.5 181 4.73 3.96 35 31.3 99.45
  • Khairi Clark -
    2014 DL 6-1.5 329 5.46 5 41 23 89.37
  • Dalvin Cook -
    2014 RB 5-11.0 196 4.46 4.18 38 30.9 110.64

Here are some undecided players to watch at The Opening:
  • Five-star defensive end Da’Shawn Hand (Woodbridge, Va.) has a top three of Alabama, Florida and Michigan.
  • Five-star cornerback Jalen Tabor has Florida in his Top 2 along with Maryland.
  • Five-star safety Jamal Adams has gotten plenty of pressure to stay in-state and play at one of the Texas schools, but has Florida on his top five.
  • New Orleans Edna Karr defensive end Gerald Willis has a top three of Florida, LSU and Texas A&M.
  • Four-star linebacker and UT legacy Dillon Bates is choosing amongst Tennessee, Florida, and Alabama.
  • The nation's top outside linebacker Clifton Garrett named LSU his leader two months ago but still has Florida on his list along with Tennessee.
