Top 2018 power forward prospect Emmitt Williams narrowed his college choices down to seven schools on Tuesday.
Florida is on the list, along with Miami, Duke, Kansas, Oregon, LSU and USC.
Williams, a Lehigh Acres native, is transferring from IMG Academy in Bradenton to Oak Ridge High School in Orlando for his senior season. A five-star prospect, the 6-foot-8, 210-pound Williams in ranked 20th in the country in ESPN.com’s most recent top 100 recruiting rankings for the Class of 2018.
In its scouting report of Williams, ESPN.com wrote: “Emmitt has the ability to face (up), an ability that makes him valuable when you combine it with his 6-8 frame. He will not break people down from the perimeter mind you, but he can catch and shoot and put it on the floor passably.”
