I will track today's chaos here and update the official Class of 2022 thread at https://www.gatorenvy.com/threads/florida-gators-2022-recruiting-class.20828/ once everything has settled down.

The following 4 recruits maintained their commitment to Florida from Mullen's staff and may elect to sign on ESD or wait until NSD.
- K Trey Smack 6-2 200 Severna Park HS, Severna Park, Maryland. 3-star. 6.23.2021.
- DL Jamari Lyons 6-4 295 Viera HS, Melbourne, Florida. 4-star. 10.6.2021.
- IOL Jalen Farmer 6-5 325 Eastside, Covington, Georgia. 3-star. 9.10.2021.
- OT David Conner 6-6 270 Deerfield Beach HS, Deerfield Beach, FL. 3-star. 8.17.2021.

The following 3 recruits are expected to sign with UF on ESD and may be found on TV unless they elect to just fax the LOI without fanfare:
- OT Tony Livingston 6-4 260 King High School, Tampa, Florida. 4-star. 3.11.2021.
- DL Chris McClellan Owasso High School, Owasso, Oklahoma. 4-star. 11.23.2021.
- IOL Christian Williams 6-4 320 Fort Bend Marshall, Missouri City, Texas. 3-star. 12.10.2021.

If you want to watch commitments sign their LOIs on TV you can catch the following:
- WR Chandler Smith 6-1 180 Mt. Dora HS, Orlando, Florida. 4-star. Georgia 2022. Chandler Smith signed with Georgia on the 15th (Georgia, UF decommit)
- S Devin Moore 6-3 190 Naples HS, Naples, Florida. 4-star. -- Devin Moore is signing the 15th @ 8:00 a.m. (UF, ND). He expressed high interest in UF under Mullen.
- DL Quency Wiggins 6-6 274 Madison Prep Academy, Baton Rouge, LA. 4-star. --- Quency is signing the 15th @ 10:00 a.m. (LSU, UF)
- LB Jaron Willis 6-2 228 Lee County HS, Leesburg, Georgia. 4-star. -- Jaron Willis is signing the 15th @ 12:30 p.m. (Ole Miss, Arkansas, UF)
- ATH Azareyeh Thomas 6-1 177 Niceville HS, Niceville, Florida. 4-star. -- Azareyeh Thomas is signing the 15th @ 1:15 p.m. (FSU, GT, LSU)
- DL Derrick Moore 6-4 250 St. Frances Academy, Baltimore, Maryland. 4-star. -- Derrick Moore is signing the 15th @ 2:45 p.m. (OU, Michigan)
- DL Shone Washington 6-3 297 Warren Easton, New Orleans, Louisiana. 3-star. Georgia commitment. -- Shone Washington is signing on the 15th (Georgia, UF)
- S Kamari Wilson 6-0 200 IMG Academy, Bradenton, Florida. 5-star. -- Kamari is signing the 15th @ 4:00 p.m. (Georgia, UF)
- CB Julian Humphrey 6-1 185 Clear Lake HS, Houston, Texas. 4-star. Georgia commitment. -- Julian Humphrey might sign on the 15th with UGA or wait and sign with UF on national signing day. He was once a Florida commitment under Mullen.
- LB Shemar James 6-2 212 Faith Academy, Mobile, Alabama. 4-star. -- Shemar might sign tomorrow (Alabama, UF, FSU). He was at the Sunshine Showdown and was once committed to UF under Mullen.

This class is very difficult to predict given the chaos throughout college football with coaching changes, the proliferation of transfer portal moves, and the introduction of NIL. I will go with a low-confidence prediction for the #ChosenFew22 as follows:

- LB Harold Perkins 6-2.5 210 Cy Park HS, Cypress, Texas. 5-star.
- DL Shemar Stewart 6-6 272 Monsignor Pace, Opa Locka, Florida. 5-star.
- S Jacoby Mathews 6-2 193 Ponchatoula HS, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. 4-star.
- CB Julian Humphrey 6-1 185 Clear Lake HS, Houston, Texas. 4-star. Georgia commitment.
- DL Chris McClellan Owasso High School, Owasso, Oklahoma. 4-star. 11.23.2021. Signed 12.15.2021.
- RB Tre'Vonte Citizen 6-0 217 Lake Charles College Prep, Lake Charles, Louisiana. 4-star.
- QB Maalik Murphy 6-4.6 225 Junipero Serra, Gardena, California. 4-star. Texas commitment.
- RB Trevor Etienne 5-10 200 Jennings HS, Jennings, Louisiana. 4-star.
- S Devin Moore 6-3 190 Naples HS, Naples, Florida. 4-star. Signed 12.15.2021.
- OT Tony Livingston 6-4 260 King High School, Tampa, Florida. 4-star. 3.11.2021. Signed 12.15.2021.
- DL Jamari Lyons 6-4 295 Viera HS, Melbourne, Florida. 4-star. 10.6.2021. Signed 12.15.2021.

- DL Shone Washington 6-3 297 Warren Easton, New Orleans, Louisiana. 3-star. Georgia commitment.
- IOL Jalen Farmer 6-5 325 Eastside, Covington, Georgia. 3-star. 9.10.2021. Verbal commitment.
- TE Danny Lewis 6-4 235 Westgate, New Iberia, Louisiana. 3-star. Cincinnati commitment.
- OT David Conner 6-6 270 Deerfield Beach HS, Deerfield Beach, FL. 3-star. 8.17.2021.
- IOL Christian Williams 6-4 320 Fort Bend Marshall, Missouri City, Texas. 3-star. 12.10.2021.

- DL Zion Young 6-5.5 230 Westlake HS, Atlanta, Georgia. 3-star.
- K Trey Smack 6-2 200 Severna Park HS, Severna Park, Maryland. 3-star. 6.23.2021. Signed 12.15.2021.

If the class of 2022 look like this, then the class rating would be 262.21 with 18 commitments, which is good enough for #8 in the nation.

If the class could also add the following, then the score would be 289.01 (#5 in the nation) with 21 commitments and room for 4 more:
- S Kamari Wilson 6-0 200 IMG Academy, Bradenton, Florida. 5-star. Signed 12.15.2021.
- DL Quency Wiggins 6-6 274 Madison Prep Academy, Baton Rouge, LA. 4-star.
- LB Shemar James 6-2 212 Faith Academy, Mobile, Alabama. 4-star. Signed 12.15.2021.

If Napier can pull in a full class of 25, then the score would be 304.08 (#4 in the nation).
- ATH Azareyeh Thomas 6-1 177 Niceville HS, Niceville, Florida. 4-star.
- LB Jaron Willis 6-2 228 Lee County HS, Leesburg, Georgia. 4-star.
- DL Derrick Moore 6-4 250 St. Frances Academy, Baltimore, Maryland. 4-star.
- CB Jaheim Singletary 6-2 170 Riverside HS, Jacksonville, Florida. 5-star.
- WR Decoldest Crawford 6-1 178 Green Oaks HS, Shreveport, Louisiana. 3-star.
- DL Maxi Badoin IV 6-3 290 Ascension Episcopal, Lafayette, Louisiana. 3-star.

Here are the 8 recruits for ESD. With 9 LOIs the Gators rank currently at #30.
- S Kamari Wilson 6-0 200 IMG Academy, Bradenton, Florida. 5-star. Signed 12.15.2021.
- LB Shemar James 6-2 212 Faith Academy, Mobile, Alabama. 4-star. Signed 12.15.2021.
- DL Chris McClellan Owasso High School, Owasso, Oklahoma. 4-star. 11.23.2021. Signed 12.15.2021.
- S Devin Moore 6-3 190 Naples HS, Naples, Florida. 4-star. Signed 12.15.2021.
- OT Tony Livingston 6-4 260 King High School, Tampa, Florida. 4-star. 3.11.2021. Signed 12.15.2021.
- DL Jamari Lyons 6-4 295 Viera HS, Melbourne, Florida. 4-star. 10.6.2021. Signed 12.15.2021.
- OT David Conner 6-6 270 Deerfield Beach HS, Deerfield Beach, FL. 3-star. 8.17.2021.
- IOL Christian Williams 6-4 320 Fort Bend Marshall, Missouri City, Texas. 3-star. 12.10.2021.
- K Trey Smack 6-2 200 Severna Park HS, Severna Park, Maryland. 3-star. 6.23.2021. Signed 12.15.2021.

Here is the 1 hard commit for NSD:
- IOL Jalen Farmer 6-5 325 Eastside, Covington, Georgia. 3-star. 9.10.2021. Verbal commitment.
Here is the 1 transfer that counts against this class:
- DL Tyrone Truesdell 6-3 325 Laney HS, Augusta, Georgia (2017) by way of Auburn University

Here are the ones we whiffed on:
- CB Julian Humphrey 6-1 185 Clear Lake HS, Houston, Texas. 4-star. Georgia signee.
- ATH Azareyeh Thomas 6-1 177 Niceville HS, Niceville, Florida. 4-star. FSU signee.
- CB Jaheim Singletary 6-2 170 Riverside HS, Jacksonville, Florida. 5-star. Georgia signee.
- LB Jaron Willis 6-2 228 Lee County HS, Leesburg, Georgia. 4-star. Ole Miss signee.
- QB Maalik Murphy 6-4.6 225 Junipero Serra, Gardena, California. 4-star. Texas signee.
- DL Shone Washington 6-3 297 Warren Easton, New Orleans, Louisiana. 3-star. Georgia signee.
- DL Zion Young 6-5.5 230 Westlake HS, Atlanta, Georgia. 3-star. Michigan State signee.

Here are the ones we can still target for NSD:
- LB Harold Perkins 6-2.5 210 Cy Park HS, Cypress, Texas. 5-star.
- DL Shemar Stewart 6-6 272 Monsignor Pace, Opa Locka, Florida. 5-star.
- S Jacoby Mathews 6-2 193 Ponchatoula HS, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. 4-star.
- RB Tre'Vonte Citizen 6-0 217 Lake Charles College Prep, Lake Charles, Louisiana. 4-star.
- RB Trevor Etienne 5-10 200 Jennings HS, Jennings, Louisiana. 4-star.
- TE Danny Lewis 6-4 235 Westgate, New Iberia, Louisiana. 3-star. Cincinnati commitment.
- DL Derrick Moore 6-4 250 St. Frances Academy, Baltimore, Maryland. 4-star.
- WR Decoldest Crawford 6-1 178 Green Oaks HS, Shreveport, Louisiana. 3-star.
- DL Maxi Badoin IV 6-3 290 Ascension Episcopal, Lafayette, Louisiana. 3-star.

If Florida signs three 4-stars and fourteen 3-stars the class should end up with a score of 253, which is #9 in the nation. Right now with 9 signees and a hard commitment the score is 164.79, which is #50 in the nation. Napier warned us that the ESD class would be small, and this is definitely true. For comparison, the following schools have 24+ signees: Texas A&M (#1), Alabama (#2), Georgia (#3), Texas (#5), Penn State (#6), Michigan (#9). Every team ranked above Florida has 12 commitments or more, with the average being 18.

@Escambia94,
You posted most all of this (your usual in-depth, insightful dive into the numbers and their implications, E—) in another thread here, wherein I commented directly...
However, I want to reiterate my overall approval and general feeling of being ENCOURAGED by the general “triumph of quality over quantity”—the best that could be achieved and/or hoped for, I felt, under the circumstances.
Things had been looking very bleak indeed in the days leading UP to ESD, what with the lengthening “queu at the exit-portal” AND procession of bad news as to the growing list of “decommits”.
Things are still a bit “dicey”, relatively precarious still to say the least—but they are definitely “looking up” now, and the signs are that we’ll “land on our feet” as far as building competitively with the current “conference elite”.
In the long run, I have ALWAYS felt there is no reason we shouldn’t be able to hold our own in “the SEC Arms Race”!

You asked in the other thread where I think this class will end up. I listed a few recruits that CBN could land and get us to a top 10 class, but there are insiders who have more names that could lead to a top 5 class. I remain conservative in my estimates and predict a class around #10.

No matter WHAT, a damn sight better than things appeared to be “trending” of late in the days running up to ESD.
This whole “ESD”/“NSD” shift, along with all the rest of the new aspects of “the alphabet soup” (NIL and all the rest we are concurrently learning about and expanding awareness/experience of and, like it or not, we’ll just all have to ourselves respond to now.)
The UF Athletic Dept. has further responded to all of this now too: Announced yesterday was and agreement with this company that acts as a one-stop clearinghouse for players and sporting divisions to field and negotiate general and specific contracts to market merchandise, services and individuals online and beyond.
Just one more way this program is now quickly and aggressively responding to recognized “new opportunities” and “areas of interest and concern” for everyone coming to our program, furthering the reach of “our brand”.
Over on the thread @Escambia94, posted (ie. “...Napier’s Coaching Staff”) noting all the coaches BN has seen hired since he got here and hit the ground RUNNING, I talk about our Coach’s heightened awareness and outright “conscious intent” coming IN here to UF when he took the job...The above is just one more important facet of that larger process, obviously of major importance to our Coach in CHOOSING UF as his “ideal landing spot” (...by all accounts, he had others before now).
