Tyson Summers will join the Florida Gators staff as a defensive analyst. He recently served as defensive coordinator at Colorado in 2019 and 2020, quality control coordinator under Kirby Smart in 2018, and head coach of Georgia Southern in 2016 and 2017. Tyson is from Tifton, Georgia and has coached for 19 years since graduating from Presbyterian College in South Carolina. Tyson has also coached at Troy, UAB, Colorado State, and UCF. He played linebacker at Presbyterian from 1998 to 2001.
