Billy Napier has worked as QB coach, TE coach, OC, offensive analyst, assistant head coach, and WR coach at Clemson, South Carolina State, Alabama, Colorado State, Florida State, and Louisiana prior to his time as head coach at Louisiana and now Florida. He has a 41-12 record as head coach, is 3-1 in bowl games, has won 2 Sun Belt championships, and has been named Sun Belt coach of the year twice. In addition he has been on Nick Saban's staff for two of Alabama's national championships and one of Jimbo Fisher's national championships. He has coached up one 5-star QB and two different 4-star QBs. His Louisiana QBs have actually performed at a similar level as Florida's QBs over the past few years (other than the stellar season from Kyle Trask). Napier does not seem to have a particular style of QB, but the general assumption is that he wants a pocket passer who can run. His QBs get at most 300 yards rushing per season, and will generally throw for 2200 to 3200 yards per season, which is great for his teams that average about 1200 to 1500 yards rushing per year.
