Aubrey Hill (February 18, 1972 - August 16, 2020) was a wide receiver for Coach Steve Spurrier's Florida Gators from 1991-1994 where he was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 1991 and a team captain for the 1994 SEC Championship team. He is #4 in the Gators touchdown-to-reception ratio at 86:18 (4.78). Aubrey is one of 24 Gators to score a touchdown in his first start (18 and 4-yard touchdown receptions from Terry Dean versus Vanderbilt in 1993). Aubrey was instrumental in #6 Florida defeating #3 Alabama 24-23 in the SEC Championship game, where he hauled in a double-pass from Danny Wuerffel to Chris Doering for a 20-yard gain, setting up the go-ahead touchdown on the ensuing touchdown pass from Wuerffel to Doering. As a Gator receiver he accumulated 1,454 yards on 87 receptions (16.7 yards per catch) and 18 touchdowns while sharing receptions with Willie Jackson, Harrison Houston, Chris Doering, Tre Everett, Jack Jackson, Reidel Anthony, and Ike Hilliard.
Aubrey came to Gainesville from Miami Carol City (Chiefs) of Miami, Florida, where he later won a state championship as head coach in 2016.
As a coaching assistant for the Gators in 2011-2012 he coached Solomon Patton, Andre Debose, Quinton Dunbar, and Frankie Hammond Jr. Aubrey most recently coached wide receivers for the FIU Panthers. He passed away on August 16, 2020.
