#73 David Williams of Mulberry, Florida, picked up right where Lomas Brown left off, becoming one of the top offensive tackles in the nation during his career as a Gator from 1984 to 1988. David played tackle under Galen Hall, where he was a pivotal part of the 9-1-1 team that would have been our first football SEC Championship in Gainesville. He was first team All-SEC his senior year, second team All-American in his junior and senior years, team captain in his senior year. He was the 23rd overall pick of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Houston Oilers, where he played from 1989 to 1995. He was named a University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame Gator Great in 1999.
