I want to see how the Gator defense responds without Dunlap and Cunningham. I just want to see if we can get some pass rush going and land a few sacks. I'm not worried too much about the linebackers or secondary.
In your era, who are the top 3 opposing team players that you feared the most?
1. Ronnie Brown - I feel like he always tore us up
2. Peter Warrick
3. Darren McFadden
Gators are 17-6 overall and 6-3 in the SEC and we are still unranked. Didn't get a single vote in the recent polls. Hopefully wins over South Carolina and Xavier will get us in the polls.
What do you think would be the most valuable piece of autographed Gator merchandise? I really have no idea how we would calculate the value of these things... but i'll go with Tim Tebow's game worn 2008 BCS Championship jersey, autographed of course by Tim.
6'0 308 - this guy had all the hype around him when he was being recruited. He was limited by injuries and redshirted in 2008, then play in all 14 games in 2009.
In 14 games played this year - note he didn't start - he had only 8 solo tackles, 2 of which went for a loss. No sacks.
Where do...
Like Mr2Bits said in another post, I thought the Gators might fall out of the Top 25 with the loss to Richmond. I guess the voters still have respect for us.
The Gators have been NIT bound the previous two years. Getting 20 wins is no longer that great of an accomplishment.
My fear is that the Gators will dominate their non-conference schedule, but then fall back to earth in January/February. They'll likely be a bubble team again, and probably...
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Gators' flu bug is cause for alarm, at least for coach Urban Meyer and his staff.
Running back Jeff Demps, tight end Aaron Hernandez and defensive end Jermaine Cunningham were isolated in the days leading up to Saturday's game against Tennessee.
Although...
What did you think of the offensive play calling in the Tennessee game? Seems like they kept trying to run Demps and Rainey up the middle. And guys like Cooper and Hernandez were hardly involved.
Rainey and Demps both had awesome YPC again, yet they didn't get the touches they need. I don't understand the play calling. Tebow had 24 rushes while Demps, Rainey and Moody had 16 combined!
I thought he was going to be our leding receiver in 2009. He dropped a sure touchdown last week against Charleston Southern and then he had another drop just now against Troy. Though he did redeem himself by catching a touchdown pass.
Do you think Calathes enjoys being in college? I don't think he does. His draft stock has to be crap right now because he can't make the Gators win... and great players make their teams win.
Have previous teams had better success rushing or passing the ball vs Oklahoma? The Gators are capable of doing both, but I really think our running game could open things up if the Gators can get some early big gains.
There is no way in hell the Florida vs. Florida State game was sold out. I know it was raining and all, but there were probably 10,000 empty seats in that stadium, even in the student sections.
It's a high ankle sprain but maybe not severe. It's going to be dicey this week and it's going to depend on how he responds to treatment whether he's (a) going to be available for Alabama and (b) how effective he can be if he is available.
Let's keep this post up near the top so we can...
