Could Trask be the next Joe Burrow?

Granted yes he does have Lawrence and Fields ahead of him possibly others like the new guy from Georgia Newman, QB from Iowa State, and a guy from North Dakota State. Maybe a guy from Indiana. Probably could shoot up the draft if he has a great 2020 season (I know I know but I rather worry about that later). Granted unsure if he'll put Burrow numbers though the Gators could be as good as LSU was last year.

I think he could be, or at least he could have been if this off-season were not interrupted by the coronavirus. One thing that Joe Burrow, Feleipe Franks, and Emory Jones have done that Kyle Trask has not done is attend a quarterback camp. Scouts love those camps, because it gives them extra throws and more situations to evaluate. Trask is currently training in some kind of mini camp with D'eriq King, a Baylor commit, and some other kid. It is good to see him in a camp, but I think he missed out on the big camp last year that really helped Franks and Jones.

A great season would help. I wonder if any universities are working on a cure as we speak. Probably most of them let's be honest.

Scientists have been working on a cure for various coronaviruses for over 20 years. Just assume that like the flu there is no cure, there will be a decent vaccine in a few years, and we will have to risk coronavirus and flu each “flu season”.

The 2020-2021 football season will be played with increased risk of coronavirus. The question is whether it will be a full season and whether it will be delayed.

Yeah really. I think they could push it back until probably May. Also, really people were working on a cure years before all of this? I wonder what other virus and diseases scientists been working on. Also, I don't think we can wait a few years for a cure/decent vaccine.

  • Nobody knows what the college football season will look like next year, but one thing we do know is that few college football programs can afford to survive within without football revenue. Out of respect for the lives lost we are not supposed to say that is not about the money, but it really is about the money.
  • True story. This family of coronaviruses has been researched heavily since the mid-1990s. I will not provide references, because all this does on social media is spark debates. This forum is for football talk only.
  • The University of Florida and all but one of the SEC schools plan on being open in the fall. It is looking as if the power conferences (plus non-power conferences who can afford it) will have backup plans to play 10 conference games plus certain non-conference opponents in states with similar coronavirus restrictions.
  • If I had to make a prediction, I would assume the college football season will have a shotgun start. Based on coronavirus posture the SEC and perhaps the Big 12 can start in August or maybe with a small delay in September. The Big Ten could start in September. The Pac-12 and ACC are hard to figure out. Maybe they start in October or maybe they push the season into January. Regardless, the national title this year could very well not be awarded or awarded via other means in the spring if schools in the Pac-12 and ACC are not open in time.
