#41 Ryan Stamper of Jacksonville, Florida played linebacker for Urban Meyer's Gators from 2006-2009. He appeared in 41 games with 26 starts, including the 2006 and 2008 National Championship teams. Ryan was a team captain as both a junior and senior, and is one of only eight two-time team captains. He led the team in tackles in his senior season and was named second-team All-SEC. He was also named the team's Forrest K. "Fergie" Ferguson award winner for his outstanding leadership, character, and courage. He finished his career with 148 total tackles (77 solo) and 13.5 tackles for loss. Ryan is a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll, and he graduated in 2009 with a degree in criminology.

He went undrafted in the 2010 NFL draft, so he took a job as a police officer with the Titusville Police Department. When his former coach, Urban Meyer, called him up to be an assistant coach at Ohio State in 2012, he took the job and is currently the Assistant Athletic Director for Player Development for the Buckeyes.
