Pregame: Wknd Roundup, plus Us vs. Them

Watching the other SEC games so far this weekend, and one thing keeps coming back to me:
I WANT A GATOR RUNNING GAME!!!

(As for our Saturday game, well, it's simple, really: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Your thoughts?)

Hows it going DRU? Sorry I been out for a bit. This old house has been taken all my extra time plus The COD MW3 Woohoo.

DRU we need us a running game for sure but I'm thinking there's none to be found here this year None I've seen thus far. We've seen hints of it but nothing solid.

For the FSU game I was writing us off until last week when I seen the Noles hit the epic fail button like we've done some this year. With this said I see we're not the only ones with trouble on our back. It was kind of refreshing honestly to see this. So given them coming to the Swamp I'm in for the Win.

Reasons for this is Noles hit their EPIC FAIL BUTTON. So we know they got one. I'm hoping our SR's are seeing this as a huge redemption point in their college career. I'm thinking it should put heavy burdens on them to preform to try to get some much needed eyes put upon them if they even got a tiny bit of hope in moving on in other professional sports. This would be the time to put up or shut up. Our Freshmen and etc. should be trying to build a image of themselves for next yr. and beyond. IMO.

I've eaten my share of crap over this team this yr. but it's my fault for going over my better judgement. After all I did predict the .500 yr. that I would of been happy with but I GOT GREEDY ...... Now why would I be happy with the .500 yr. New coaching staff, sub par players is what I KNEW coming into this season. ROOKIES TO THE MAX. With this there really wasn't much you could ask for BUT I DID. Some went into this yr. thinking were going straight to the TOP. It shouldn't of even came to their minds given the Team of ROOKIES and now I read and hear comments to KILL THE KING which to me is absurd. How or why would we even have those thoughts? Given the sub par players they've been left with. Now I see my hero of coaches failing me for my poor him comments my support with him burning out, needing time wife his kids, etc. Now I'm getting the feeling he doubted this very team we've been left with. The one he left behind and knew we couldn't over come from so he bolted. This is my feelings about this right now which I hope are wrong but I feel are the right ones to feel. So If someone out there could reverse them please do.

Anyway, you came in with a better , more realistic grasp of this team's chances than I did. In my own defense, I hadn't yet realized the extent to which Meyer & the Nameless One had screwed-the-pooch recruiting-wise the last couple of years, or the degree of selfishness, gutlessness and lack 0f self-discipline that characterized even the talented players on this squad. Make no mistake, had either of these realities NOT been at work, we win 2 or 3 of those post-'Bama/LSU games, and this season at least LOOKS a lot better. Ah well--woulda shoulda coulda, and all that. No use cryin' about it now (guess I've done enough of it the past month or more).
You're right about another thing though, too, SP. the Moles HAVE shown their soft under-bellies again with last week's performance. They'd already booted their "Big Come-Back Season" earlier in the year, recovered some balance and reeled off a string of timely-if-unimpressive wins, but that last game should tell everyone (including our guys) that they are eminently BEATABLE.
As I've said before: I don't trust MY "gut" anymore, not THIS season. My head and heart don't dare to hope; too much pain and disappointment already. Call it what you like, though, I just can't completely deny this feeling: even beat-up, short-handed, under-sized and depth-challenged, I can't quite shake the idea that we might just have a "puncher's chance" against a team that is looking inward, questioning itself, instead of worrying about "that cross-state team having a down year", like it ought to.

Power running game is key. And it starts with the o-line, but do you wonder why LSU has been so good this year? look at their RB's. They've got a few, and all of the are stacked. Each one of their RB's trumps ours.

...Hence my first comment, up top--not a "comment" at ALL, of course: Rather, my "screaming plea to the Cosmos".
(Got 2 "really good ones" supposedly "committed" for 2012, and another, Fred Taylor's kid--who SHOULD be ours, in a fair and proper world, where the grass is green, the sky is blue and the Earth goes round and round, but somehow ISN'T, not yet and not for sure, at any rate--who graduates HS in 2013, and will be among a number of 4- and 5-Star recruits who'll be in attendance as our guests at the Swamp this evening...It WILL be rockin', the season's last stand and last chance for redemption for BOTH squads, "Big Time Football", bound to impress, but a WIN would be the better ending, in EVERY way--no sh*t, right?)

DRU I'm with you on the Moles <LOL<. Their not the super powerhouse I thought they were going be. If the players show up today we do got a chance but If only their egos show they will get pounded.

I'm looking at our team like the Broncos right now. If only Tim shows up there is NO WIN. If only Miller shows up NO WIN. If only Champ shows up NO WIN. But if you throw the whole team in there trying their best they pull it together and are capable of winning just like the team we got right here at UF.

There (to me) is no stand alone player on our team. One who will over come the odds the odds beat him down every time. If for one time they would look at themselves like a cog where every tooth on it is very important to the working of it THEY COULD over come this worthless me spirit. These sub par players coulda made a very good team if they would of been their brothers keeper. By this I mean calling each other out on stupidness we seen this yr.. The coaches ( to me ) should of got a little more pin pointed in the post game comments calling out certain players but most important to me is NO PLAYER stepped up to do it. I'm not talking about telling on someone I'm talking about calling someone out directly. Remember The Tim Promise in a since he challenged his brothers to be as good a him. Remember B. Spikes Screaming he would die for them and he was leaving it all on the field for them. It elevates those around you it challenges those around you to be as good as possible. These are things we've not seen of late things that could be there. Demps , Rainey, Burton, Brantley, Sharrif Floyd who over came so much just to be on this team should of challenged others not to settle for less when there is much more within their reach.

I know injuries have been upon these young men relentless but If you push, you shove, you strive, you hunger, you try, you will over come . With the injuries its next MAN up it's sucks but true next man up. I HOPE TODAY THE MEN SHOW UP.And they get to feel their last game in the Swamp as a job well done by all.

Well, the "experts" over on ESPN's "Gameday" all pick the "Moaning Choppers" (I HATE that chant), so THAT'S something on the GOOD side of the ledger, in my view...that crew has been so wrong about so many things so far that them ALL picking against us "in a close one" gives me hope, not worry. So. Eat 'em up!
