What aspects of the offense will be different?

What do you think will be different about the Gator offense in 2008?

I think Tebow will be sacked less. I think we'll see less long plays with Caldwell gone.

What else?

Tebow wasn't sacked that much expect for the UGA and the bowl games. Well I know Tebow won't run the ball as much as he did especially if one of the running backs can carry the load. As for the long plays, well there's still Murphy, Harvin, CI, and receiver that can strench the field.

OK guess i'm missing something here, Tim is OUR offense!! I understand we can't run him to death but dang, I've always been taught, if aint broke, don't fix it!! I'm totally against this two QB system. Let tim play the game!! I mean he is A PLAY MAKER!! and wants to be in control, LET HIM!!!!! ;)

Funny how you should say that considering Tebow "broke" last season and arguably cost us the UGA game.

Meyer & Co. know that Tebow can't always run the ball. Our offense was scoring points pretty well last season, but were shut down (relatively speaking) a few times. We need to find other ways to keep our offense as potent as possible. After all, SEC defensive coordinators are going to be better prepared this season to handle Tebow.

Well I guess then we watch a different game, cuz the one I watched Tim played hurt, and OUR team wasn't a 100% And still shoulda won that game, Now playing the playstation doesn't count. Plus it's a TEAM sport, no ONE man wins a game nor does ONE man LOSE A GAME. How dare you say tim cost us the georgia game, guess your one of them fans who praises when tim is doing good, then downs him when he makes mistakes. now thats pitiful.

He didn't cost the Gators the UGA game, Moore the RB did.

I didn't say Tebow cost us the game. I said he arguably cost us the game.

His hurt shoulder was a major factor as to why he was sacked so many times.

So many things went wrong (see the post above this one blaming Moore) that game, such as...our secondary being unable to cover and our defensive line not getting enough pressure on Stafford.

I'm just saying if Tebow's injured, it affects our offense. Because of that fact, Tebow shouldn't be forced to run the ball in 2008 like he did in 2007. Or at the very least, if we have other players to run the ball well, we should give them the ball and take some physical strain off Tebow. Are you telling that if Moody is able to run the ball 120 yards a game, we should still sit him on the bench just because Tebow already runs the ball pretty well? I don't think that's the smartest decision. As the UGA game showed, a hurt Tebow does make a difference. Therefore, scoring the same # of points per game, but having Tebow run the ball less is a good thing.

We'll likely see more of a running game this fall; we now have a good 3-deep set with Moore, Moody and Rainey (I see Moore being used more as a blocker and in fullback situations). We'll likely see Tebow throwing the ball a lot more; with Hernandez, Ingram and Casey we probably have one of the best tight end depth charts in college football, and more talent at wideout. If Riley Cooper can stay healthy tebow has a legitimate deep-zone target.

The two-QB system should give us a bit of unpredictability on offense as well; that also should take some of the pressure off Tebow and allow Coach Meyer to use both the strengths of Tebow and whoever will be our #2 on the depth chart to their advantages.

My main concern is that we keep our guys healthy; hopefully we'll get CI, Louis Murphy, and Percy Harvin back in time for the fall. That also goes for our O-line as well.
