NIT Here We Come!

NIT Here We Come!

With a loss to Kentucky, I don't see any way the Gators can make the NCAA Tourney now.

Absolutely. We have to win the SEC tournament in my opinion to have and chance to get into the big tournament. Sucks, but it appears inevitable.

Yeah... i have to agree w/you on our post-season prospects for THIS year but our absence will be short-lived because, even IF Speights bolts for the NBA, the future looks bright... these kids came so close so many times this year but , as they say, experience is what you get when you DON'T get what you want...they got a wealth of experience this year & will be so much the better for it next year. The Not-In-Tournament will likely award us a home game & we will be there to cheer them on, just like we've been there all year... "In all kinds of weather..." GO GATORS!!!

The Gators' only hope of getting to the Big Dance is to do well in the SEC tourney, but do our kids have enough gas in the tank to get through it? The lack of experience being a team of mostly freshmen was made obvious in these last games, and this is a huge concern.

As much as it sucks to see us miss out on the NCAA, getting to the NIT is better than nothing at all.

well, now, the way I see it....ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS:
#1 - beat Alabama..been there done that
#2 - beat Miss. St....it IS a possibility.
#3 - beat Kentucky....almost done that. I don't think Georgia or Ole Miss will beat Kentucky so that is why Kentucky

Which leaves the finals between the winner of Tennessee / Arkansas. "IF" we get that far, it will give credibility to play in the BIG TOURNEY!
So, how does that sound?:helpsmilie:
