Where do you go to for accommodations in Gainesville when coming to visit from out of town?

    Hello Everybody,

    My name is Daniel and I am a student at the University of Florida, I manage Gainesvillefootballrentals.com, a website that lists houses around campus that can be rented for football weekends. As a Gators Fan I want to ask GatorEnvy.com to help me come up with cool ideas on how to accomodate out of town fans for football weekends. If anybody has any ideas of how Gainesvillefootballrentals.com can reach out of town gators let me know.

    @Daniel
    I suggest you contact Gator Alumni Groups around the country--they have extensive lists of contacts, regular e-mailings, bulletin board postings and links, most of them have monthly activities throughout the year and, in addition to Watch-Parties at favorite local "watering holes" during the season, some have annual group "travel-to's". If you can hook up with the "executive(s)" (ie. most active members) of particularly involved well-organized ones, they'll take the ball and run with it, making things that much easier for you.

    @Daniel, definitely hit up the alumni groups. Maybe you can negotiate blocks of hotels in the area as well, or seek out the "tail-gator" groups that travel afar (http://www.gatortailgating.com). The tail-gators alone can bring a couple dozen potential clients per house or trailer hook-up (if you expand into RV parks).
