Following a dominant win over an FCS team, and a day after both undefeated Oregon and Kansas State lost, the Florida Gators find themselves at No. 4 in the latest BCS Standings. The rankings poise the Gators for a sure BCS Bowl appearance should they defeat No. 10 Florida State, who is 10-1, this Saturday on the road in Tallahassee.

A key question will be the status of sophomore quarterback Jeff Driskel, not necessarily whether he will play, but just how healthy he will be against a stout Florida State defense.

"We feel like for this time of year we'll be pretty healthy for the game," Muschamp said Sunday via the Orlando Sentinel.

"We'll see how Jeff moves around Monday and Tuesday and go from there."

As for Saturday's win over Jacksonville State, why an FCS team is even on the schedule is a debate for another day, but the Gators can be proud of a perfect 7-0 record at home. It
was just the third time in school history that a Florida team has gone 7-0 in The Swamp. The
last team to do so was the 2009 team that went 13-1 overall.

The defense has been especially in key this season at The Swamp, giving up a total of 58 points over seven games.

So much for Mike Gillislee's Heisman campaign, but none the less Gillislee is now 36 yards away from the 1,000 rushing mark for the season after rushing for 122 Saturday, giving him three 100 yard rushing yard games this season. No doubt, he'll be called upon heavily against FSU.

The following members of the 2012 Gator senior class was honored before the game Saturday: Nick Alajajian, Jon Bostic, John Crofoot, Josh Evans, Cole Gilliam, Mike Gillislee, Chris Guido, Frankie Hammond, Jr., Omarius Hines, Omar Hunter, Lerentee McCray, Xavier Nixon, Earl Okine, Scott Peek, John Reichardt, Sam Robey, Jesse Schmitt, Caleb Sturgis and James Wilson.

That score, against an FCS team, just "says it ALL" for the Gators "way of getting it done" the last month or so, at least. DOMINANT "D", almost non-EXISTENT "O", and special teams tilting the balance our way.
We'll need SOME offense to win this last game of the reg-schedule, count on it. It is HARD to just "flip the switch", but maybe that is one more reason to hope that JD is ready-to-go: Gotta feeling he'll be FIRED UP if/when he "comes back", and that may be just enough of a change-of-pace to "zap" the whole "O". SOMETHING needs to change SOMEHOW there, let's face it.
I may be "grasping at straws", but now's the time for it. Let's TRY to change our reality, at least: Imagine how GREAT it will be to find ourselves on our way back to G-ville at 11-and-1, a win over the Slobs, a guaranteed BCS-spot AND a shot at MORE, knowing that "We held up our end!" and did everything WE could to make this one amazing season!
