Super Bowl XLIII is coming up in 2 days, and even though it's an NFL game, that doesn't mean the Gator Nation won't be represented. We're everywhere!
With one team being from up north (Pittsburgh Steelers) and the other being from out west (Arizona Cardinals), we're not seeing as many Gator players on the field as if it were two teams from the south like the Jaguars and Bucs. Below are the Gators representing each team.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pittsburgh Steelers</span>
Max Starks - Left Tackle
Dallas Baker - Wide Receiver - Practice Squad
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Arizona Cardinals</span>
None!
I can't believe there are no Gators on the Arizona Cardinals. No wonder they haven't won squat in 4 decades. Max Starks is the only player of note to watch. He is actually the starting left tackle for the Steelers, and won a Super Bowl ring with them a few years ago. He'll be matched up against Bertrand Berry, Antonio Smith and Travis LaBoy. None are Pro Bowlers, so we're hoping Max can win that battle.
As a Jaguar fan, it's hard for me to root for the Steelers. But as a Gator fan, I might have to since they're the only team representing us.
Who do you think will win the Super Bowl?
