Gator Assistants Talk to Media

Getting any new info about the Florida Gators this training camp has been nearly impossible. Urban Meyer closed all practices to the public and he has instructed his assistant coaches to not really talk to the media. It's hard to know where this team is right now, we just have to assume everything is running on all cylinders. Gator Vision did catch up with Steve Addazio, Zach Azzanni and Stan Drayton though for some quick updates on the offense. Check out the video.

The video starts off with Steve Addazio talking about the offense in general. He is asked who will be the Gator playmakers this season. Addazio really likes Trey Burton. He's been making a lot of plays in training camp. He's taking snaps, playing some tight end, playing some full back ... basically he can play anywhere on the field.*

Addazio also touches on the different QB combinations the Gators might use if Brantley were to get injured.

Next up is wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni. He touches on wanting to use 8-9 wide receivers in a single game if possible. He mentions how Deonte Thompson has really matured and knows what he is capable of. After Deonte Thompson, the wide receivers are still battling to see who will get the starting job - but it's looking like Carl Moore.

The video concludes with Stan Drayton, running backs coack. He talks about Mack Brown making some progress and working to get significant carries. He also says the days of teams using a single back for the full season are over. Expect a lot from Rainey, Demps, Moody and Brown.
