Driskel will be the starter (for now)

I'm of course of the opinion that they were already leaning towards Driskel coming into Game 1, that only his getting banged up down the stretch in August kept him from doing all the things and getting the reps necessary for him to be named the starter going into the game. He's GOT to sharpen up and start consistently hitting the open man, though....That, and pulling the trigger on the long pass EARLY, more intuitively as it develops rather than "thinking too much", waiting until he's sure it's opening up (by which time it's too late)--just being the instinctive player that brought him in here as the top-rated quarterback in his class in the first place will serve him and us best, make this whole offense more dynamic AND efficient...

Personally I just do the have confidence in Driskel, but I would LOVE to eat my words and for him to step up and be the big game qb that some people think he can be.

Yeah, man: That's the bottomline, right THERE...In the end, it just don't matter "what I think", what ANYONE thinks going IN--just get in your "zone", hit your marks or WHATEVER, get it DONE out there and get a win, preferably looking good doing it, and we'll support you, no matter what our personal opinions WERE. It has, does and always WILL come down to what turns out to be best for the TEAM, the program, what happens on the field to produce the final score--and whether or not that's a Gator WIN!!!
