Bobby Bowden calls Tebow "QB of the Future"

First Spurrier said it, and now Bowden.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) At his weekly Sunday morning media breakfast following home games, Florida State coach Bobby Bowden already had Florida quarterback Tim Tebow on his mind.

With a 31st straight winning season and 300 victories safely tucked away following Saturday's 24-16 win over Maryland, the 78-year-old Florida State coach described the 6-foot-3, 235-pound Tebow as "the quarterback of the future."

"I can't believe how good he is as a sophomore," Bowden said Sunday. "The guy has broken all kinds of records."

Even though Bowden isn't one of my favorites I will admit that this time the guy is right.

TEBOW is the QB of the future. Can u imagine what this guy is going to do over the next 2 years at UF? I mean. He's gonna get better and better. How great is that?

He's more like the QB of the present. Soon Tebow like QB's will not be effective because defenses will bring in players and scheme against dual threat QB's. The Tebow like QB will only be effective as they are now for another 3 or 4 yrs probably.

I tend to think of Tebow as the Quarterback of NOW. He is playing now. He is leading Now. Now is the time that counts. I know what Bowden meant and on that I agree but Now is when we need him!

I like that he is not cutting him down, but I agree with everybody else. Tim is the QB of now.

I personally have alot of respect for bobby bowden, that shows class same as coach spurrier.
