Jarvis Jaray Moss came to Gainesville from Denton (TX) as a Parade All American. Jarvis played defensive end for Coach Ron Zook's and Urban Meyer's Florida Gators from 2003-2006. Jarvis was known for his ability to use that nearly seven-foot wingspan for blocking field goals and point-afters. In the Gators' national championship season of 2006, Jarvis recorded 56 tackles (42 solo) on his way to a 1st team All American award. The Denver Broncos drafted Jarvis as the #17 pick after trading with the Jacksonville Jaguars to get that pick. Fun fact: Jacksonville used its #21 pick from Denver to select Jarvis' college roommate, Reggie Nelson (look for Reggie at #34 on my list next month).
