Nat Moore transferred from the University of Tennessee-Martin and played wide receiver for Doug Dickey's Florida Gators from 1972-1973. While playing wide receiver on Dickey's option offense, Nate led the Gators with 145 rushes for 845 YDs, 9 TDs, 25 catches for 351 YDs, 4 TDs. He also had 230 kick return yards. At the time, his 845 yards season rushing was a Gator record. Nat was named a first-team All SEC and third-team All American his junior year. His senior year output was hampered by injuries and he only managed 35 yards receiving and 335 yards rushing. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins where he went on to be the Dolphin's leading career wide receiver until teammates Mark Clayton and Mark Duper broke his records. Nat Moore is remembered for the helicopter catch (see below) against the New York Jets in 1984. Nat was named a Gator Great in 1978, and was an announcer for Gator games on Sunshine until 2011.
