Charley Casey played wide receiver for Ray Graves' Florida Gators from 1964 to 1966. He was a two time All-SEC selection in 1965 and 1966, and was named All-American his Senior season of 1966. His 108 yards receiving in the 1966 Sugar Bowl helped QB Steve Spurrier rewrite the Sugar Bowl record books of the time (Spurrier was named the MVP of the 1966 Sugar Bowl despite losing the game). Both Charley Casey and Richard Trapp were favorite targets of Steve Spurrier, Charley finished his career as the leading receiver in SEC history with 123 receptions. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1966 NFL Draft. Charley was later named to the University of Florida Athletic Association Hall of Fame as a Gator Great.
