32 –Reggie Nelson, DB (2005-2006)
Reggie Nelson, Melbourne, Florida, played free safety under Urban Meyer at the University of Florida from 2005-2006 after earning his associate’s degree at Coffeyville Community College. Although his stint in Gainesville was short, he certainly racked up some highlight reel tackles. As a junior, he was selected to the Gator Leadership Committe, was pivotal in the team’s national championship run, and recorded 51 tackles, 5 passes defended, and 6 interceptions. He was 1st-team all SEC, 1st-team All American, and team MVP. Imagine what he could have done if he were here for more than two seasons!
