John Broward "Brad" Culpepper was born into a Gator family. His father was a center for the Gators in the 1960s, including the 1962 Gator Bowl. His uncle was a tailback for the Gators in the late 1950s. His grandfather was a Florida graduate, and chancellor of the State University System of Florida. Brad played defensive tackle for Galen Hall's and Steve Spurrier's Florida Gators from 1988 to 1991. Brad was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll all four years. In his senior year of 1991, he was defensive team captain of the Gator's SEC championship team, was selected first team All SEC, was named Consensus All American, and won the Draddy Trophy. Brad actually graduated with his bachelor's degree his junior year and worked on a master's degree in his senior year of 1991. Brad eventually returned to Florida and earned a law degree ten years later, in the same year he was named to the University Athletic Association Hall of Fame as a Gator Great. His 18 career QB sacks currently rank 9th and his 47.5 tackles for loss rank 5th in the Gator record books.

He actually was a pretty good player for the Bucs though overshadowed by Sapp. Now he's a lawyer in the Tampa Bay Area.
