    Kevin Louis Carter played defensive end for Steve Spurrier's Florida Gators from 1991 to 1994. Kevin racked up 14 tackles in 13 games (2 starts) his freshman year. In his sophomore year, Kevin was named 2nd team All SEC and Honorable Mention All American after tallying 64 tackles, 38 solo tackles, 12 QB hurries, 3.5 sacks, and 6 TFL. The next year he only compiled 59 tackles, but he did improve to 11.5 TFL, 12 QB hurries, an a blocked field goal on the way to a first team All SEC selection. In his senior year of 1994, his 11.5 QB sacks were 3rd best in Gator history, and he was named Consensus All American, first team All SEC, a finalist for the 1994 Defensive Player of the Year Award, a finalist for the Lombardi Award.

    Kevin's 42.5 career TFL rank 7th in Gator history. He is also 5th in the Gator record books with 21.5 QB sacks. He was the sixth overall pick of the 1995 NFL Draft, St Louis Rams, and went on to play another 14 years for the Rams, the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In addition to being named to the University of Florida Athletic Association Hall of Fame, Kevin was also named to the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame, the Florida Gators All Century Team, and the 100th Anniversary Team. Kevin is still active in Gainesville with charities, scholarships, and the NFL Players Association.
