The Mississippi State Bulldogs put up a good fight on defense, but ultimately it wasn’t enough to stop the No. 1 Florida Gators. The Gators scored 13 4th quarter points to win by a final score of 29-19. Once again it was the Gator offense that gave them problems. Two costly offensive turnovers gave Mississippi State their only two touchdowns of the game. Tim Tebow threw two interceptions… both were returned for touchdowns.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are hosting our Florida Gators tomorrow night for a 7:30 PM kickoff. The Bulldogs are unranked and have a 3-4 overall record. The only SEC opponent they have beaten was Vanderbilt, and that’s not saying much. Mississippi State’s head coach is former Florida Gator offensive coordinator Dan Mullen. He’s only in his first year, so he isn’t really expected to go out there and win the SEC West right away. But the Gators can’t take this opponent lightly. Mullen knows them all to well. He knows all their strengths and all their weaknesses.

Hooray for Homecoming! The No. 1 Florida Gators are hosting Bobby Petrino and the Arkansas Razorbacks Saturday afternoon in The Swamp. Homecoming games are always fun to go to. The players play with a lot of emotion and the city is packed with more fans and vendors than usual. Arkansas is on a two-game win streak, including a win last week over an unbeaten Auburn Tigers team. This won’t be a cake walk homecoming game, but with the Gators firing on all cylinders no one can stop them.

Ever since Lane Kiffin opened his mouth at that booster club event and called Urban Meyer a cheater, Gator fans have had this game circled on their calendars. If there’s only one Gator game you could attend all year, you can’t tell me this one wouldn’t be it. The No. 1 Florida Gators are favored by around 28.5 points (depending on which sports book you look at), but I’m predicting a much larger victory for the Orange and Blue. Urban Meyer is going to stick it to the Vols and make them pay for their offseason comments.
