Thinking about a few topics concerning all things Florida Gators…
Dan Werner. I think we are all in agreement that Dan Werner is a liability on the court at any given time. Now I’m not one that concentrates too much on basketball. The Florida Gators were leading almost the entire game, but were clearly outplayed in the second half by South Carolina and ultimately lost to the Gamecocks last night by a final score of 71-77. We kept hearing about how great Devan Downey is all week and he didn’t disappoint last night. He torched the Gators for 24 points and nabbed 4 steals. The Gators now fall to 17-7 overall and 6-4 in the SEC.

The Florida Gators won a close game last night over the Alabama Crimson Tide by a final score of 66-65. It’s refreshing to get back on the winning track, but a little scary that they had a tough time with Alabama … who just isn’t very good. The Gators are now 16-6 overall and 5-3 in the SEC, holding steady at 4th place in the SEC East.

The Florida Gators lost a heart breaker to Tennessee last night by a score of 60-61. The Gators took a 34-28 lead at halftime but couldn’t finish the game – even when they had the ball last. Tennessee hit the go ahead shot and gave the ball back to Florida with about 14 seconds left. Tyus had a very good look at the basket from like 4 feet away with only 3 seconds left, but he couldn’t make the bank shot.
