  • Los Angeles Rams DE Dominique Easley, Florida 2010-2013, 2014 round 1 pick to New England

Yeah, Rams got a coupla of our BEST on D last few years--and no coincidence the Rams were the ONLY NFL team playin' a LICK o' D today! GOD, that was putrid--painful to watch all day: by what I saw out there, the NFL ain't much different from the Big 12 at this point. I mean, they copied and drafted that way of late--but who knew that between talent, coaching and rules-changes they had so devolved in defensive strategy and proficiency? More like "seven on seven drills" out there now.

The Florida Gators are #17 in the nation in terms of sending players to the Super Bowl. Here are your New England Patriots Gators.
  • New England Patriots OL Trent Brown, Georgia Military College 2011-2012/ Florida 2013-2014, round 7 pick to San Francisco
  • New England Patriots CB Duke Dawson, Florida 2014-2017, 2018 round 2 pick to New England
  • (New England Patriots CB JC Jackson, Florida 2014/ Riverside CC 2015/ Maryland 2016-2017, UDFA 2018 to New England)

Kansas City's defense was hard to watch. The secondary had no clue how to roll coverage against Gronkowski on some relatively simple plays. Tackling on both sides was sloppy. I expect New England to win in a shootout against Los Angeles.

The official Gator Super Bowl matchup is:
  • Los Angeles Rams LB Dante Fowler Jr, Florida 2012-2014, 2015 round 1 pick to Jacksonville
  • Los Angeles Rams DE Dominique Easley, Florida 2010-2013, 2014 round 1 pick to New England

  • New England Patriots CB Duke Dawson, Florida 2014-2017, 2018 round 2 pick to New England (injured reserve)
  • New England Patriots CB JC Jackson, Florida 2014/ Riverside CC 2015/ Maryland 2016-2017, UDFA 2018 to New England
It turns out that some of these Gators came from our best recruiting classes. I will follow up later with some background on these players.
