Why The NEXT One Means So Much

Simple, really: This is exactly the kind of situation where our poorly- led and Coached teams since Post-(NON)Quit-Meyer (ie. otherwise known as "The ADDAZIO-Coached Season"--and everything after, til THIS Season) would normally read the tweets and watch all the sports shows and with everyone looking past Vandy, even the PLAYERS ASSUMING the win based on all the hype from the same folks who never believed in them in the FIRST PLACE--then go out and lay an egg, a teamwide flat performance that got them exactly what they earned--an unexpected and untimely LOSS.
Now, THIS Coaching staff has been deeply involved with this team, from the moment they began to arrive has paid attention to DETAILS--in the lockerroom AND on the field...and all of it has shown game-to-game in the progress made and positive results EARNED. Now comes the next big "TEST":
Can this team stay focused, ignore the temptation to relax, let up?
The Commodores have been progressing themselves last few seasons; by now they are no longer the Conference doormats in any way, and are gonna be fully UP for this one: They are a tough, talented SEC squad who will be READY, eager to "redeem THEIR season" to some extent by coming out and knocking off "another high-profile SEC team" they are underdogs to (but believe they can--and SHOULD--beat, just as they believe they SHOULD have done elsewhere once or twice this year already).
They will fight, and fight HARD until the very end. That BETTER not come as any kind of surprise to THIS Gator squad-- whose job this time is to stay focused, cool, tough and HUNGRY...Come out Saturday and hit them hard, early and often. If we do, it will be another step on the road to where we are headed--another sign that with Mullen's arrival, things really HAVE changed, in all the ways they had to.
