Simply stated. And though I trend toward "contrarian" myself AND am a Florida guy, "Sorry, Frost & Co.": Maybe you shoulda been IN the playoff, certainly should have been better considered for it, but "LEVEL OF PLAY", quality of competition week in/week out is the bottomline ACROSS THE BOARD, and why the title of this thread isn't really debateable...And it's been that way for a generation now--neverMIND the seemimgly annual "SEC domination is over!" wishful-thinking we hear at every turn.
The other point was the first thing that hit ME after that play, and is still banging around inside my head:
"I wanna QB like THAT one!"

Just wished Bama didn't win last night (sick of those guys).
Know EXACTLY what you mean.
Even tho over the decades the 'Dogs have broken OUR hearts late a number of times, even tho familiarity breeds contempt, we all want to see Satan brought down ("up"?) to earth.
However, can't help but grant that he showed once again how good a coach, a WINNER, he is: Guts and relentless attention to detail. I don't believe for a moment that his is the only way to do it--on the contrary. But more than ever I see how down "in the trenches", in the background AND foreground, every waking moment of every day all year long, the effort must be made by everyone on the staff to be considering every aspect of what THEY can and need to be doing to make the TEAM better. All shoulders to the wheel, get it and KEEP it moving forward, momentum building.
That's what it takes--and right there in front of all of us is at least ONE guy who's got HIS people doing just that.
I may despise him--but I recognize what's true, see what's (literally) ahead of us, and know who AND what we need to find a way to surpass.

I wished both teams could have lost to a random meteor, but somebody had to win it. My hatred of Georgia runs far deeper than my hatred of Nick Saban. Make no mistake, Georgia is and always will be our number one rival. Watching Georgia choke makes me very happy.
