Sal Sunseri will likely coach linebackers, but his specific role has not been announced.
Sunseri, who leaves the Oakland Raiders after two seasons, will bring with him 34 years of coaching experience to Gainesville, which includes 10 seasons in the NFL and five in the SEC--including two championship years with Alabama.
Prior to his stint with the Raiders, Sunseri spent two years at Florida State (2013-14). He has been a defensive coordinator (Tennessee, 2012), assistant head coach at Alabama for Nick Saban (2009-11) and a seven-year defensive line coach for the Carolina Panthers (2002-08) of the NFL.
Greg Knox, who worked under Mullen at Mississippi State as a running backs coach (2009-17) and special teams coordinator (2014-17), also has had coaching stints at Ole Miss and Auburn.
Knox led the Bulldogs as the Mississippi State interim coach to a Taxslayer Bowl win over Louisville on Dec. 30.
Before his time in Starkville, Knox spent 14 years as Tommy Tuberville's wide receivers coach at both Ole Miss and Auburn.
Knox will likely coach tight ends.
