Stupid call for that pick, ridiculous for a rusty Luke in that 2nd-and-inches situation...I WAS gonna rant about what a disgrace our offense is to our D--but the D turns around and makes thevpoint in the happiest way possible: Pick-6 BACK at'em on very next play!
Normally I'd be crowing happily now--except all in all, this half has well-illustrated everything WRONG with what amounts to an under-achieving Gator offense dragging a great defense down.
Now, given our 2nd half performances, we better get this drive of Mizzou's stopped, get it back and somehow score again here. This Tiger team has been a decent offensive squad good part of its season so far--and we seem to have softened up here on defense somehow.

Pick-6 #2!!!
Geez, they had us on our heels with their ground game there for a moment--but they tried to get "cute" again.
Well, it's only fitting here: The squad that dominated gets us the points, too.
Our two "specialists" in that sorta thing, too: Tabor, then Wilson.
They are trying to just run the clock now--and its their best play anyway. OK--with us calling times-out, gotta figure they're gonna go to the "tempo-game", as they refer to it now.

Figure a rainbow to Calloway on the next play? Or AFTER getting the 1st down...
Yeah. Now?
Scrambles instead. Gotta get him some protection. Aw hell. Holding for sure.

Now it's a long TD or nuthin', right?
Just run it out? Or hail Mary?

And Delrio gets it picked to end the half.
Don't even understand that whole last sequence. Looks like they put more thought into getting the ball back with time left than in what they'd do with it once they did?
I am sorry, but I am DONE making excuses for our offense, players OR coaches.
Luke Delrio isn't anything MORE than a one season stop-gap, at BEST...and this coaching staff has no real plan. The linemen just rack up the same penalties time after time, game after game.
With all those RBs (also poorly used), you'd think we could at LEAST get our defensive stars more rest in the course of play--THEY are the foundation on which our wins have been built for some time now.
NOT much has changed overall with the change in Head Coaches--certainly not enough, let's face it.
As for this week's game, well, this ain't Tennessee--but we can still blow this game with Mizzou's offense. CAN OUR OFFENSE SCORE JUST ONE TD ITSELF???

OK. I am now ready to pronounce judgement, with accompanying prediction--and I say right now, at the same time, tjat I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope I am wrong, just way too impatient.
But I don't think I am. I waited TOO long in my support for Muschamp, and WE waited at LEAST a year too long as a program before making a move--and it's STILL costing us.
So here it is:
I do not believe Coach Mac is the answer after all...and we will have to make that change AGAIN by the end of the 2017 season.
(Oof. Terrible call, decision and throw from Delrio, and we HAND them a way back into the game...here we go. How many Gator 2nd half choke jobs do y'all have to see before you see what I'm saying here???)

I mean, week to week our offense is more and more a LIABILITY.
Bad and getting worse.
So: I'll be first to ask: "Who out there would make the best NEXT COACH of the Florida Gators?"
Who'd you like to see us go after?
(And they give him the TD..
They go for 2? No...)
We are just a great defense with a floundering Coaching staff who have brought in barely better-than-average recruiting classes from the start.
Neither talent, scheme nor execution have improved. I'd fire people NOW--it's gonna take a "tear it all down and start over" approach. We cannot win with any real consistency with this offense. This staff never will.

I am ready to turn this off.
I cannot stand watching this offense ruin its defense's great efforts.
And have these coaches ever even HEARD terms like "runner in a groove", "go with the hot runner", "run the clock with the lead"., etc? I mean, if you HAVE a "balanced offense", sure, you use it--but that is NOT what we've seen lately.
God, is this the same kid who at least well-MANAGED our offense earlier this season?
Well, seems to have finally sunk in--but no, they take Thompson OUT for the 3rd and short play. This offensive coach, whomever is responsible, is an absolute idiot. I could do better with cardboard, a magic marker and a pin to make a spinning pointer.

Still think our Offense will have to score a TD today to pull this out. Our D is getting tired, and that Tiger offense got a real buzz from that TD...only thing stopping THEM now is themselves.
Best chance our offense will get to actually score an offensive TD this half. But I think they'll start to try running out clock now.
Hope it works,'cause there's a LOT of time left for that Mizzou offense.
This just doesn't LOOK like the same QB from earlier this season. Almost got another picked off. I don't even know what to say bout him now. Guess he's rusty AND hurting. ANOTHER "False Start" on 3rd and short. Killing us.
I repeat: POOR COACHING!!!

Finally. TD pass. (I thought we jumped again, but no call)
Think that 2 pointer was a bad idea, just not enough time to put it up here...
I don't believe in chasing points that way in the third qrtr, no matter what--and to HELL with that "chart", anyway.
You wait n see in the game's final moments--but all too often it's multiple MISSES on those that put a team out of range at the very end...
Almost another pick for us. NEITHER QB looking very good today...but our guy can, and probably now SHOULD hand it off.
GIVE IT TO THOMPSON or SCARLET.
It doesn't take a genius at this point. You got 2 guys, put one in and let him go til they stop him, then stick the other one in there. Drive the field, wear them down, put this away. THERE IS NO REASON LUKE DELRIO SHOULD BE THROWING MUCH NOW.

See, I could accept going with a YOUNG QB while he makes mistakes and LEARNS, if you think he's the "real deal"...You tell us you're thinking long term, that he's gotta go thru this to get where we all need to eventually be, and I WILL support that. All the folks who'll scream now will love ya when we're a functioning UNIT later...
But we are looking at another "holding action" type team and season, with no real sign there's any long term plan to WIN.
Fumble! Yeah, our D IS our team.
Sigh. Reason I THOUGHT we might have enough offense here to hold up its end of things...Can you imagine how good things might be going if we DID? It's a shame and a waste.
So I ask again: If not Mac, WHO DO YOU WANT AS GATOR COACH?
(After nice Perrine runs, Scarlet runs in TD 33yds...
See? Chasing points again on 2-pt play--but there's ANOTHER False Start! But at least this one prob saves them a point...I mean, at that point you're going for 2 to get back to where you might have been if you just took the pa kicks in the first place.
At 33-7, only a COMPLETE collapse on the field AND sidelines will lose it now.
Mizzou is playing for pride now...and that Gator D might get another int.
Can't see them RUNNING their way back into this one--tho they COULD burn the clock and make it respectable this way.
Our D looks like they won't let that happen.

Can you believe that? They bring Scarlet in for the TD and his 100yds rushing--and loses the ball stretching it over the goalline. It's close, but doubt they'll overturn it.
OK, this is a rough one--but there are a number lessons here today that I just have NO confidence this staff has or will learn from. They're not getting better, and neither is their team. We have left a LOT of points on the field today. Maybe the Tigers will hand a few back here? But makes little difference overall. Wish it would--we are nowhere NEAR the kind of team that scares anyone who's REALLY any good.
I'm sorry. But this team makes even the seeming good times shaky.
We SHOULD be substituting freely with a huge lead, putting it away while the crowd celebrates at HOMECOMING, finally.
But no. And this is probably "as good as it gets" right now. Our 2nd and 3rd teamers are mainly manning the defense now, sure, but it'd be a little more fun if the Tiger offense weren't driving 99+ yards after our guy fumbled going IN to start it.
So: they score. Window dressing--but it FEELS wrong somehow. We drubbed them worse than score would indicate...LOL:
They onside kick it to Calloway on a dead run--and THERE'S that 40-pts on our side after all.

Geez, our 2nd line D is having all KINDS of difficulty here...Mizzou has recovered its "statistical respectability" in these last 2 and a half min of the game. Fine. Our frontline D basically shut them DOWN.
That D deserves all credit and respect.
But not our offense, nor the coaches responsible for bringing'em in, getting 'em ready, with a plan to win. In all THREE of those areas they have failed, and continue to do so.
